Welcome to Lawnton State School. We are proud to be a Queensland Government State School catering for boys and girls from Prep. to Year Seven. This year we have nearly 400 Primary School and Prep. students.

Being a smaller and very well established school we can offer our families a friendly and supportive atmosphere linked with a strong sense of tradition. While we pride ourselves on our history and longevity, we are very involved in curriculum reform to provide our students with the best possible contemporary education.

Parents are encouraged to take part in their child’s education through the active Parent and Citizens association, volunteering within the classroom, attending weekly parades, fundraising ventures and communications such as our newsletter “Lawn Clippings”
