At Lawnton State School, we love to welcome new enrolments!

Our small school is fortunate that we are not subject to a catchment area, so if you are interested in your child attending Lawnton State School at any stage of their education, please do not hesitate to contact our school in order to arrange an interview and take a tour of the school and our facilities.

We welcome involvement of parents and the community at Lawnton State School. Research has shown that when the community is involved in the life of the school, outcomes are enhanced for students. The P&C meets on the third Wednesday of each month at 6.30 pm. Everyone is welcome to attend and we would be delighted if new parents could join us.

Parents are also welcome to get involved in other ways including:

  • Volunteering in the tuckshop or uniform shop.
  • Classroom support.
  • Assisting in the library.
  • Helping with excursions and swimming supervision.

Those parents who wish to assist are most welcome. Please see your child’s teacher, or the office if interested.

Each Friday morning the school community comes together for parade where classes present items, awards are given and celebrations occur. Parents are very welcome to attend and stay afterward for a cuppa with the principal and other community members.
