Friday was a special day to remember at Lawnton. Community groups, school staff and indigenous families joined for discussions, planning and celebration of the educational journeys of Lawnton State School's indigenous students. Parents enjoyed mingling with and chatting to their children's teachers over lunch. Students played traditional indigenous games and had the opportunity to paint, using indigenous dot techniques under the watchful eye of indigenous artist, Lloyd Hornsby. The final products of the art session, were beautifully decorated boomerangs. Thanks to our families, staff and community friends who made this day such a great success.
