Term Three is off to a busy start in 1E. This term in English the students are exploring animal stories where the characters have human qualities. They speak, wear clothes and to things just like people to – which is quite different to what they do in nature.
In maths the students are continuing to count numbers up to and beyond one hundred. We are improving in counting in patterns – both forwards and backwards – beginning at any number. We have been measuring and comparing objects using a range of materials and ordering according to length, width and thickness.
In science we have been examining the things we see in the sky – both in the day time and the night time. There are several changes we can see in the sky – and we have been practicing recording these changes like scientists!
This term in geography we are looking at the features of places, how they can be changed to suit different purposes and how they need to be cared for. We have been looking at objects from different perspectives and recording according to a bird’s eye view.
We are also looking at healthy eating this term. We are learning how this is very important so that we can grow strong and healthy bodies. We are looking forward to continuing our learning in this busy term!
