Enrolment management plan
Our school has an enrolment management plan External link. Please, check the catchment map External link to ensure that you are eligible for enrolment at Lawnton State School. Students residing within the schools’ catchment area are welcome to enrol at our school at anytime. Parents wishing to enrol students who are living outside of the catchment area should contact the school's office to check their eligibility in consideration of the school's enrolment plan.
New enrolments school interview
We believe that a successful start to your child's educational journey begins with a warm welcome and a supportive partnership between our school and your family. To ensure a smooth enrolment process, we conduct enrolment interviews for each newly enrolled child and their family. Here are some important details:
What do I need to do?
- Visit or email the school office with two documents as Proof of Residence:
- One must be a current rental/lease agreement or rates notice or unconditional contract of sale for proof of address.
- The second document can be a utility bill (eg electricity, gas, phone), drivers licence or bank statement, showing this same address and parent's/legal guardian's name.
- Collect enrolment pack from school.

- Completed and signed enrolment paperwork:
- Enrolment Application
- Enrolment Agreement
- ICT Policy Consent
- Media Consent form
- Third Party websites Consent
- Chaplaincy Consent
- SRS Participation Agreement
- Child's original Birth Certificate
- Interview Questionnaire
- Visa documents and passport (if applicable)

Once all these items have been supplied and verified we will be able to book an enrolment interview.
Things to bring to the interview
- Your child/ren
- Most recent report card if not previously supplied (not applicable for Prep)
- Reports from specialists or medical practitioners and health workers if applicable
- Interview questionnaire (if not previously returned)
What to Expect in the Interview
During the interview, we'll discuss what Lawnton State School has to offer and our expectations for our students. This is also an excellent opportunity for parents to share any concerns they may have about their children. Your input is valuable, and it helps us tailor our support to meet your child's specific needs. We will also inform the teacher of any concerns raised, ensuring that they are well-prepared to provide the best support.
