​​At Lawnton State School, we believe that communication between parents and teachers/school staff is crucial to optimising learning outcomes for our students.

Communication Pathways

School Newsletter

The Lawnton State School newsletter is emailed out to family's weeks 3, 6 and 9. Our school newsletter is a great way to stay up to date with:

  • Principals News including updates on our schools Annual Implementation Plan
  • Lawnton learners Ready to Learn
  • Curriculum updates
  • P-2 and Year 3-6 News
  • P&C Communication and items that may be coming up including opportunities for parent feedback about P&C items or topics seeking consultation by the Principal/ school

We also recommend you 'like' Lawnton State School on Facebook for further communication and up to date information on our upcoming events and celebrations of learning.  Our Lawnton State School P&C Page is another great way to stay connected and be part of our wonderful school.

QParents App

The school website will continue to grow and develop, providing information on school activities, important dates and school documents. If you can't find what you're looking for please try the search bar. Individual Students School information is also available by downloading the QParents app for your phone or tablet device.

Staff Communication

Staff at Lawnton State School are committed to working with parents to ensure the best outcomes for children. If you would like to discuss your child, there are several options:

  • Email your child's classroom teacher
  • Ring (07) 3481 4888 and make an appointment to sit with your child's classroom teacher

If you have any further concerns, please do not hesitate to contact the Deputy Principal for your child's year level.
