Student Support

Inclusive education is a whole of school approach at Lawnton State School, this means that students can access and fully participate in learning, alongside their similar-aged peers. At Lawnton, our students are supported by reasonable adjustments and teaching strategies tailored to meet their individual needs. Inclusive practices are embedded in all aspects of school life, and is supported by culture, policies and evidence-based practices. Quality differentiation practices are occurring in every lesson and activity for all students, including the use of assistive technology. We believe that collaboration between students, parents/caregivers and community members best support our Lawnton learners. We take pride in accessing support, advice and training through regional services that include occupational therapy, physical therapy, nurses and advisory visiting teachers.

Lawnton State School provides a range of services to support students throughout their learning journey.
